Hwang Temple is a map in the game located within the Seungryong Valley. It is one of the classic expedition areas, used mainly for farming, completing quests, and accessing important instances, e.g., the Demon Tower.

Map and Biologist Quests

While exploring the map, you can obtain the following items necessary for quests from the Biologist:

  • Temple Spirit Stone (Level 40 - Biologist Study 2) - drops from: Elite Esot. Fanatics, Elite Esot. Warriors, and Elite Esot. Chiefs.

Curse of Hwang Temple

Upon teleporting to Hwang Temple, a special negative effect called the Curse of Hwang Temple is applied to the player character. It manifests as a significant weakening of the character; most attacks fail to hit monsters. A debuff icon then appears in the upper left corner of the screen, symbolizing the effect of the curse.


How to get rid of it?

Curse To remove the Curse of Hwang Temple effect, you must obtain the Wanted List item, which activates the corresponding quest. The quest can be started once the character reaches at least level 38. The list can drop from any monster on the map, but if the character is not strong enough, it can be obtained from the Esoterics outside the temple, where combat is safer for weaker players. After activating the list, you should go to Nabira, an NPC located in Orc Valley at the esoteric spot in the lower left corner of the map. Nabira assigns the quest, and upon its completion, the player receives a Sabah Mask, which deactivates the curse effect for two hours. The quest cannot be repeated, but another Sabah Mask can be purchased from Nabira (Price: 200,000 Yang) or from other players. The Sabah Mask can also be obtained by killing MINI BOSSES on the map.
